“Whaaaat?” – say you! Yep, that’s right – I am wearing a long midi skirt as a dress!
In this illustrated blog post))) my velvet lace up booties are going to the corporate Christmas party. And I am wearing them with something quietly rebellious – a Skirt as a Dress!
Why wear a skirt as a skirt, a dress as a dress and a hat as ..well, a hat? Lol. I want to break the rules! Anything goes this holiday season, it’s the most wonderful time of the year!
So I found a different use for this metallic pleated skirt. It’s become my holiday party dress, and a statement piece!! Would you be brave enough to put something like that on? I think you would, if you felt what I did when I saw this skirt for the first time – you would.
The sheen and the combination of gold and silver took my breath away when I first saw it. But I knew right away I wasn’t going to wear it as a midi skirt. See here another way to style this beautiful metallic number.
So for the corporate party it was the choice between a little black dress)) or this. –>This<– is what I chose)) Are you with me? Check out the video below, the skirt is light as a feather. Oh man, was it cold the day we filmed, I got myself a Rudolf the Reindeer nose by the end of the session! :))

In addition to the skirt, I am wearing the velvet booties, which I’ve taken on a challenge of styling 3 very different ways. An easy task really, not so much a challenge. They are so appropriate for the holidays.
