You may have heard it already, green is the color of 2017. Pantone’s color “Greenery,” to be exact. A grassy green color of new beginnings!

I read a lot about this year’s color… It is said to revive, restore, and renew; it is life-affirming. It is also emblematic of the pursuit of personal passions and vitality. No wonder I feel so good in the shade of green I chose!

As far as I’m concerned, it is the color that makes me happy. The green I’m wearing screams spring. I swear my house plants grow faster when I wear this sweater.      My mood is light and resilient. I feel so young and energized in this color, they may card me for a virgin colada. 

This shade of green is really pretty. But remember, Gorgeous, green can be a little tricky to pull off. If you’re pale, it may reflect on your skin, making you look a little sickly if you’re not careful. You need to be tanned to pull it off, or you’ll need a brighter shade of lipstick to balance the intensity of this green.

But there is a shade of green for everyone to look gorgeous in. From army green to pale, lemony green, pick one and make it yours.

You’ll need to find a shade that matches the undertones of your skin, and the color of your hair and eyes, as well. Choose complementary colors with care. I chose gray and burgundy here. They work really well together. Gray doesn’t clash with anything, and these “Zinfandel” wine-colored booties are from the same earthy color family. Comment on this post if you want some inspiration for complementary colors to go with the green of your choice.
