Hey Gorgeous,
When high-end designers and celebrities collaborate with mass retailers, high-style becomes available at a fraction of the price a fashion house would charge. And there’s one such collaboration that I, personally, was not going to miss! Victoria Beckham for Target is what I’m talking about here.
As soon as I heard about Victoria Beckham’s collaboration with Target for a capsule collection, I started planning my shopping. Strategically. I reviewed all the items on the website ahead of time and made a list of what I loved the most. On Sunday, April 9th β the day the collection launched β I ordered the online exclusives I wanted from the website at 7:30 a.m. Then, I drove to a Target located in a not-so-densely-populated area near me to score some more perfect pieces.
But not without an adventure. I got a little lost, with four minutes left before the store opened at 9:00 a.m. and thought my pink pant dreams had evaporated. I frantically called a friend who lives nearby and pleaded with her to go get me a pair of those pink pants. Then, I got to the store before her, rushed in, and… there was no one there! Nobody!
And that is how I got to enjoy some high-end shopping on an early Sunday morning at a local Target all by my lonesome. Pittsburgh, PA is just not a place with many fashionistas per capita. But we’re working to change that, aren’t we?
About these perfect pink pants: They’re elegant and timeless, but fun! I love the length. They cover the shoe, making your legs look longer and elongating your silhouette. It’s a clever trick, whether you’re petite like me, average height, or tall.
And they weren’t my only fabulous find from the collection. Let’s just say: I got more pants, in a lot more colors. I’ll be sure to highlight them all in the future posts here on HelloGorge.com, on IG, and on FB. So stay tuned!
As for styling these bright fuschia flares, they were begging for a classic black-and-white pairing. I went with a cute peplum top in gingham print (which is super hot this season!).
Bright, fun details β like my stack of plastic bangles, which I’ve had since 2006 β balanced the color. And a cutie-pie straw kitty purse is both weather- and crazy-cat-lady-appropriate.
What I want to know, Gorgeous, is if you too got your hands on some VB for Target? Or are you thinking about it? If you are, it’s selling out! If you have any fun designer “hunting” stories, please share them with me in the comments section. I love a good a laugh.
All of the links for the items I’m wearing are at the end of this post, right before the comment section.
XOXO,
Anna
P.S. When Target or H&M (or any other stores) have designer collaborations like this, you have to be on your A-game, planning ahead. I learned that the hard way when the Balmain x H&M collection went live and H&M’s website went down, and there was no Balmain in Pittsburgh H&M stores at all. I was heartbroken. Now, I plan my shopping in advance, and I plan it strategically.
Ready to take your confidence to the next level? I can't wait to help you heal, feel and thrive from the inside out!
