It’s time we covered the #GirlBoss vibe. No matter where you work — in rural America or New York City — if you’re the leader of the troops, you have to adopt higher standards and lead by example. 

Whether you are a lawyer, an accountant, a journalist, or a project manager, a #GirlBoss needs to command attention in any situation. Yet, there is no reason a female executive can’t have fun with everyday fashion. In this post, I’m featuring a fashionable (non-boring) outfit appropriate for professional environments of all kinds.

And here are some other examples: one with over-the-knee boots disguised as office wear, and another culottes-based ensemble quite appropriate for work situations.

I have partnered with Tobi.com to create this super fun look for professional women. As you know, I use layering to stand out, even in the summer time.  This time, I layered a striped bodycon dress and a wrap linen skater dress from Tobi.com. The bodycon dress gives just the right length for the office dress code and breaks up the dark navy, while the skater dress adds a new style dimension, and works like a peplum to hide any imperfections.

To make this look polished and complete, I added light pink feather earrings (watch my DIY video to learn how to make yours in just a few minutes), a bright pink metallic clutch, and of course, killer nude heels! Just like that, I’m ready to conquer the world!
